Agnes Kendrick Reiss, born Aug. 9, 1934, in Lake Placid, died peacefully at home in Westport, Connecticut, with her loved ones by her aspect on May well 18, 2021.

She was diagnosed with dementia in her later many years, which finally led to the loss of her physical and cognitive abilities, but not her variety and joyful spirit. With the help of her loving partner, who never still left her side, she preserved her upbeat and beneficial outlook, always welcoming vistors with a smile and a song.

Immediately after graduating from Lake Placid Large Faculty, she was uncovered by the renowned photographers Ozzie Sweet and Ruth Orkin. She then moved to New York Metropolis, the place she worked as a product for the Conover Modeling Agency. Agnes’ pictures graced quite a few publications covers and commercials: Sweetheart soaps, Yardley’s of London, Coca-Cola, Ski NY, General Motors, and Ship and Shore Blouses. Agnes also labored at a reservation attending to the requirements of an improvised Indigenous local community in Banff, Alberta.

Agnes beloved to sing and dance, and was acknowledged to belt out a song and dance a jig at any minute. She appreciated snowboarding and ice skating with her children and her grandchildren.

In 1960 she married Peter G. Reiss, also of Lake Placid, at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid. They moved to Los Gatos, California, for 5 a long time just before they settled in Westport, Connecticut, to elevate their family members.

Agnes was predeceased by her mothers and fathers Addie (Martel) and Joseph Kendrick, her loving daughter Agnes Mary, her brothers Joseph and Jack Kendrick, and sisters Ceceilia “Chummer” Savage, Terese Patnode and Mary Pat Chase.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 60 many years, Peter Reiss of Westport, Connecticut daughter Juliana Smith of Southport, Connecticut, and her youngsters Whitney, James and Christopher Smith daughter Jacqueline and partner Jimmy Bebon of Easton, Connecticut, and their little ones Agnes, James, Jack and Georgia Bebon her son Peter J. Reiss and wife Aimee of Boulder, Colorado, and their youngsters Layla and Scarlet and quite a few nieces and nephews.

Agnes Rita Kendrick Reiss will be tremendously missed by all her friends and loved ones. A personal burial will be held in Lake Placid on Saturday, Might 22. In lieu of bouquets, the relatives is asking for a donation in her memory to The Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
