Dancing On Ice 2021 starts this weekend and now the professional photographs showcasing this year’s pairings have been released.

The 12-strong celebrity line-up and their skating partners have posed together for the first time in their skates and sequins.

A gold colour scheme sees this year’s pairings pose against a glittery backdrop, giving fans the first glimpse at what’s to come.

The images have been released after ITV confirmed the series would be going ahead following lockdown announcements across the UK.

As well as removing the live audience for the first time in the series’ history, Dancing On Ice has also introduced perspex screens between judges on the panel.

Meanwhile a dedicated area for the celebrities and their professional partners to watch the show has been set up. You can read more about the measures put in place here.

Host Holly Willoughby has already excited fans of the show by sharing her first Dancing On Ice look with her seven million followers.

The presenter looked stunning in the wedding-inspired number and now she’s been joined by the this year’s line-up and professional skaters.

In the new pictures Welsh Olympian Colin Jackson CBE wore a bronze patterned shirt and a pair of black trousers, while lifting up professional skater Klabera Komini, who was in a stunning shimmery dress.

Sharing the images on her social media page, the new pro skater wrote: “Okay this is cool and excited doesn’t even begin to describe how we’re feeling.”

Meanwhile Denis Van Outen posed in a rose gold number whilst leaning against professional skater Matt Evers, who was sporting a leopard print shirt.

Previously speaking about joining the line-up, Denise said: “I was born with jazz hands, but time will tell if I’ve got jazz feet on the ice.”

Reality television star Billie Shepherd looked beyond glamorous in a brown dress covered in glitter alongside professional Mark Hanretty in the new images.

After the pictures were released the mum-of-two said the “nerves and excitement were kicking in” ahead of the show’s launch on Sunday.

She said: “With just a few days to go until the first @dancingonice show the nerves and excitement are really kicking in.

“We will be bringing all the sparkle and smiles to you this Sunday @itv … (Just what we all need). Sending everyone so much love.”

While Myleene Klass, who was the first to be announced for the Dancing On Ice line-up, opted for a fringed number as she posed with her partner Lukasz Różycki.

The former Hearsay singer has been keeping fans updated with her ice skating training on Instagram, admitting that she’s been spending lots of time on the rink floor.

Graham Bell could be seen wearing a smart brown blazer on top off a crisp white shirt as he expertly held his partner Yebin Mok.

However, the pair will not be making their debut on launch night as planned following a freak accident which saw Yebin suffer a laceration to her leg.

The incident, which was caused by a stab wound from an ice bade, left Yebin’s tendons exposed.

Actor Joe-Warren Plant looked the part in a snake patterned suit as he posed with his pro skater Vanessa Bauer in the official shots.

Sharing the images, Joe said his “suit game” had been upped for 2021 as he prepared for the competition.

Lady Leshurr opted for a purple sparkly number complete with a pink shimmery belt alongside partner Brendyn Hatfield in the promo pictures.

The musician previously told Kiss Breakfast: “Oh my gosh I don’t know what I’ve got myself in for but everyone knows me to be that person to just throw myself in at the deep end and I just wing it a lot of the time.”

Former Neighbours star Jason Donovan went all out in an elaborate patterned suit for the promo images with his partner Alexandra Schauman.

Sharing the images, pro skater Alexandra said: “T minus 4 days until the big premiere of @dancingonice 2021.”

“Very excited to perform with @jdonofficial and hopefully bring lots of excitement, joy and glamour to everyone’s living room on Sunday night 6pm @itv.”

Faye Brooks and her partner Hamish Gaman matched their outfits in the new images, opting for lilac and silver.

She looked stunning in a low cut dress while pro skater Hamish opted for a silky shirt in the same colour.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine when the line-up was announced last year, Faye admitted she was “excited” but warned that she could be “Bambi on ice”.

Sonny Jay chose a more casual look for the event with black ripped jeans and shirt as he posed with his partner Angela Egan.

The presenter and radio DJ also shared the promo images and told followers: “This time next week we’ll be preparing for the first night of@dancingonice.

“I can’t believe how quickly it’s all come about but I’m so excited to be part of such an amazing show that is needed more now than ever.

“How everyone on the team have managed to pull off this year so far has been incredible.”

Rebekah Vardy and Andy Buchanan opted for a matching metallic dress and blazer in the images as they struck up a pose.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Rebekah said she was excited from the glamour.

“I’m so ready for the sequins,” she explained.

Adding: “After months of lockdown it’ll be nice to get the glam on.”

Rufus Hound, who will be dancing on launch night in place of Graham Bell, looked amazing in a bright pink blazer which he wore on top of a printed t-shirt.

He finished the look off with a hat as he posed with his partner Robin Johnstone.

The actor and comedian, previously joked: “For the last 10 years, I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t asked to see me dance of ice. Finally, the nation has its dreams come true.”
