Made and recorded with her TOPS bandmate David Carriere, ‘Entertainment’ is a music about flirting with fantasy, and the cat and mouse video game of lust. It makes use of an irresistibly ‘80s-tinged mix of synth arpeggios and easy saxophone runs to emphasise the song’s inherent feeling of sensuality.
Talking of the track, Marci says, “A good pop song is like a great buddy: an intimate confidante, a shoulder to cry on, and a spouse in crime when you are prepared to get dolled up and dance the suffering away below the disco ball (or in entrance of your bed room mirror)”. That is what you’ll find on ‘Entertainment’, the debut one from Marci of Montreal comfortable-rock team TOPS, who methods out on her have in self-certain model.
She proceeds, “Lyrically, inspiration was felt in the summer months air, seeking to flirt with the earth and come to feel the enjoyment of by yourself and some others at a time when we could not be close to 1 one more.
