Poor Bunny dedicates award as Prime Latin Artist to women of all ages

Dancing Trousers

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Negative Bunny stated the music “is devoted to those who desire to dance by itself, and safely, at the club,” adding that he “wrote it from the standpoint of a girl.” The jam is component of the Puerto Rican artists’ 2nd studio album YHLQMDLG, launched in 2020. “I desired a woman’s voice to sing it—’yo perreo sola’—because it doesn’t suggest the exact same issue when a man sings it. But I do experience like that woman in some cases,” she reported.

The audio online video director, Stillz, explained to to Billboard that Negative Bunny “wanted to symbolize that gentlemen also care about women’s rights and that violence in opposition to women also influences us as gentlemen… he wished to effect and take a concept to the reggaeton neighborhood that generally is not as open up to talk about the LGBTQ neighborhood.”

The star performs dressed in woman apparel and wigs in the music video clip, such as a red vinyl miniskirt and thigh-superior boots. Vogue Stylist Chloe Delgadillo also defined that the purple glance represents a captivating “badass” girl, although the next glimpse is an “Instagram girl” who “is completely ready to dance by itself at the club,” and the third, a “classy girl.”

At the conclude of the audio online video, Undesirable Bunny supplied a general public support announcement. “Si no quiere bailar contigo, respeta, ella perrea sola” (“If she does not want to dance with you, respect her, she twerks on your own.”)

The “Yo Perreo Sola” remix that includes Nesi and Ivy Queen is out there on all audio platforms pursuing their efficiency at the 2020 Billboard Tunes Awards. Love the tune down below.
