STRICTLY Come Dancing has revealed the first pictures of its 2020 professional dancers looking incredibly glam.
The stars taking part in this year’s popular BBC dance competition showed off their new looks ahead of their return to the much-loved series this Saturday.
Amy Downden, Oti Mabuse, 30, Luba Mushtuk and Nadiya Bychkova, 31, put on their best smiles for the camera as they posed for pictures in exactly the same turquoise and gold tasselled dress.
28-year-old Nancy Xu, Dianne Buswell, 31, Janette Manrara, 36, Karen Hauer, 38, and Katya Jones also looked gorgeous as ever in the same attire and completed the look with some matching coloured high heeled dance shoes.
And the boys looked just as good in light blue tight fitted shirts with an added bit of sparkle on their chest, and finished the look off with a pair of smart grey trousers.
Anton Du Beke, 54, Gorka Marquez, 30, Graziano Di Prima, 26, Neil Jones, Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice, Johannes Radebe, 33, are the professional male dancers taking part in the show this year.
Speaking out about the incredible talent of their professional dancers in this year’s line-up back in March, executive producer Sarah James said: “It’s wonderful to welcome back so many talented individuals within this year’s line-up of Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers.
“They are each at the top of their game and as a cast are simply incredible. We can’t wait to see what magic they will bring to the ballroom this year.
“Strictly 2020 promises to be an unforgettable series, with more exceptional choreography and world-class dancing.”
Kate Phillips, controller of BBC Entertainment, added: “We are very proud of Strictly Come Dancing and our professional dancers.
“They are undoubtedly in a class of their own and they’ll be back in force this autumn to put our class of 2020 through their paces, providing anot
her series of unmissable TV!”
Although not every big name taking part this year has a partner.
The Sun revealed that Nadiya Bychkova has been axed from the main line-up.
The Ukrainian dancer, 31, has been told by bosses that she will not be getting a celebrity partner during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing 2020.
Despite only being on the show since 2017, Nadiya – who is engaged Slovenian footballer Matija Skarabot, 32 – has made a name for herself by growing close to each celebrity that she’s been paired with.
And it looks like the producers to bring this to an end.
A TV source said: “Nadiya is obviously gutted not to have a partner on the show this year.
“She’s wondering if it was a mistake to adopt such a flirtatious approach to her partners.
“Bosses really want this year’s show to be scandal-free. There is a huge emphasis on everyone being professional.”
Earlier this month the celebrities taking part in this years show also posed for their glamorous photos.
Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, The Wanted’s Max George, breakfast TV star Ranvir Singh, ex-Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams and telly presenter JJ Chalmers are just some of the stars competing to win the Glitterball Trophy.
EastEnders favourite Maisie Smith, comedian Bill Bailey, ex-Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, Men Behaving Badly star Caroline Quentin, ex-NFL star Jason Bell, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Liang and YouTube sensation HRVY are also trying to get their hands on the £25,000 prize fund.
Yesterday it was announced that last years winner Kevlin Fletcher will perform a socially-distanced routine with Oti Mabuse to launch the start of this years show.
