When visiting the capitol city of Bratislava while in Slovakia there are several Bratislava gay bars to visit for an evening out. While the gay scene is somewhat limited there are some bars that can provide a great evening out while in the country.
The Apollon Disco Club is one of the only gay venues that is advertised as such and is located on 24 Panesska in Bratislava. This disco has two small bars, a seating area and a dance floor and Wednesday through Saturday there are also theme parties held at the club. The club attracts a young crowd and Thursday night is men’s only night.
De Anjelov is located at 19 Laurinska and is a café that has coffee, tea and alcoholic drinks and is open till 1:30a.m. This is a place for gathering with friends for a night of conversations and drinks in a bar type seating or low seating.
There is also Bratislava bars that while not gay bars do have live entertainment on weekends and have a friendly atmosphere where visitors will feel welcome and enjoy the night out.
Some of these bars are Cirkus Barok, which is a bar and dance club with several floors in a unique setting, an anchored ship. Nu Spirit Bar has DJ’s most nights of the week and Unique Club is a bar where college students gather. Dopler is also a hotspot with live entertainment and dancing, Subclub is another of the unique bars in Bratislava that is housed in a nuclear fallout shelter and Kviev Hotel has dancing with 90’s music and a European flare.
