Derek Hough is returning to “Dancing With the Stars” for season 29.
Derek Hough has been a professional dancer and judge on Dancing With the Stars, and now the Emmy Award-winning choreographer is getting his abilities someplace new. Hough will visitor star on Disney’s Large College Musical: The Musical: The Collection in period 2 of the display, as Deadline noted previous March.
The new year premieres on Could 14, with Hough taking part in the character Zack, a Broadway star coming home to direct a theater program at East High’s rival university, North Superior. He also takes place to be the ex-boyfriend of East Higher drama teacher Overlook Jenn, performed by Kate Reinders.
When talking to Persons about the position, Hough claimed his character is entirely distinctive from who he in fact is in his daily life.
“He’s a tiny bit of a baddie – or the opposition,” Hough instructed the outlet. “It was enjoyable to lean into just becoming a minor smug. In lifestyle, I’m pretty self-deprecating and a goofball really, so it was enjoyment to participate in that character. And to sing a little bit and to dance.”
